CORTLANDT VENOM CHAMPIONS AT HEMPFIELD PA CLASSIC

The Cortlandt VENOM GU13 team took 1st place at the Hempfield Fall Classic in Lancaster Pennsylvania on Nov. 22 & 23. Despite cold temperatures and a one-hour game delay due to snow, the girls won Saturday morning against the Pittsburgh Strikers 3-1. Later that day they posted another win of 4-0 against the Montgomery United Dragons. The following day brought the same cold temps but the VENOM continued their streak with a 3-0 win over HMMS Crimson Tide. This put them into the championship game as the winners of Group A, facing PA Centre Strike, the winners of Group B. The girls from Cortlandt came out on top, trouncing PA Center Strike 5-2 to win the tournament.
